Our Policies

Cancellation/Reschedule Policy:

Cancellations and reschedules that are made less than 24-hours in advance may be charged a $20.00 fee or up to 40% of the cost of the massage. Clients who are late for their appointment will receive only the remainder of their appointment time.

When you make an appointment you are reserving the massage therapist's time. When you fail to keep your appointment or cancel at the last minute you prevent the therapist from making income for that hour and also prevent the therapist from being able to schedule anyone else in that time slot. Given 24-hours notice, that time slot can be filled by someone else who is waiting.

Gift Certificates:

Please call for an appointment well before the expiration date in order to get the exact date and time that is convenient for you. We will not extend our hours or reschedule other clients in order to get you an appointment before your gift certificate expires. Gift certificates are good for one year. You will need the gift certificate number to make your appointment. Your Gift certificate must be present at time of your appointment. Gift certificates that have expired cannot be redeemed. No cash refunds will be given for gift certificates. Gift Certificates cannot be split by time, only by dollar amount. For instance, you cannot use a one-hour gift certificate for two half-hour sessions. You can however, use your one-hour gift certificate towards shorter sessions--i.e. a $30 half-hour session can be paid for with a $50 one-hour relaxation gift certificate, with a remaining dollar amount of $20 to be used towards another session at a later date. Our Cancellation/Reschedule Policy stated above, also applies to gift certificates, and the cancellation fee amount may be deducted from your gift certificate balance.

Sexual Harassment:

Sexual advances or comments made before or during the massage towards your therapist will terminate your session immediately with full payment due. You will be asked to leave the premises and you will not be allowed to make future appointments. You also will be served with a termination of service letter to your home address.

Children:

If you are under 18, you must have your parent come in with you to sign their consent. If you have small children, please arrange for child care at another location prior to your appointment. This will allow you, as well as other customers, to relax and enjoy the massage.

Cell Phones:

Please turn off or mute your cell phone. If you are in the reception area and choose to use your phone, speak quietly or exit the building to take the call. Please be considerate of our other clients.

Parker Employees

Using your Wellness Benefit Converage:

Call the office or book an appointment online. You will need a credit card to reserve your appointment. At the time of your appointment, bring ID (such as your driver's license), your Parker Wellness Network Card (We need information from this card to bill) and your co-payment.

Co-Payment:

Because we are an In-Network Provider, your co-pay is 20% of the same-day price. You can pay your co-pay with cash, check or credit card.

Billing:

We do the billing for you, at industry usual & standard rates. We bill for the remaining 80%.

No-Shows:

If you fail to show up for your appointment, you may be responsible for a $20 no-show fee.

Cancellations:

Generally, as long as you call us with more than 3 hours notice, we won't charge you a $20 no-show fee. This is because that appointment usually can be filled by someone else who is on our cancellation list. If you know you can't come in, please call!

How Much is Covered With Your Wellness Benefit:

Recent changes in your benefits indicate that you can get a half-hour or sixty-minute massage seventy times per year. Please check www.ngs.com/parker for all your benefits.

What To Expect During a Massage

Where Will My Massage Happen?

The massage session will take place in a warm, quiet, comfortable room. Soft music may be played to help you relax. You will lie on a table especially designed for your comfort, and you will be covered by sheets and blankets, with bolsters behind your knees , neck and ankles as appropriate.

Must I Be Completely Undressed?

Most massage techniques are traditionally performed with the client unclothed beneath the sheet. You will be properly draped with the sheet during the session (proper draping is required by Wisconsin law). HOWEVER, you may decide what amount of clothing you prefer to wear for your own comfort under the sheet. You are more than welcome to leave your bra and underwear on. You will have privacy to disrobe and position yourself on the massage table before the massage begins.

Will I Be Covered?

You will always be properly draped with the sheet at all times to keep you warm and comfortable. Only the area being worked on will be exposed.

Will All of My Body Be Massaged?

You and the therapist will discuss the desired outcome of your session. This will determine which parts of your body require massage. A typical full-body session will include work on your back, arms, legs, feet, hands, head, neck and shoulders. You will not be touched on or near your genitals (male or female) or breasts (female), or your stomach.

What Oils or Lotions Are Used?

We use only Sacred Earth lotions, creams and/or oils. Sacred Earth produces the best organic, vegan and non-allergenic products available. These will be used to permit your muscles to be worked on comfortably. You may request lotion or cream only, if you have plans after your massage and you don't want to feel/look oily. Generally, the hair at the back of your neck will look a little oily. A little bit of baby/talcum powder in the hair will hide the oil if you need to go somewhere afterwards.

What Will the Massage Feel Like?

It depends on the techniques used. In a general Swedish/American massage, your session may start with broad, flowing strokes that will help calm your nervous system and ease exterior muscle tension. As your body becomes relaxed, pressure will gradually be adjusted to relax and relieve specific areas of muscular tension. You should communicate to your therapist immediately if you feel any discomfort, so that the pressure can be change, or a different approach may be taken. Massage is most effective when you are relaxed, and the pressure is not little or too much.

What Should I Do During My Massage?

Just make yourself comfortable. The therapist will either gently move you or tell you what is needed throughout the session (such as lifting your arm). Many people just close their eyes and completely relax. Greater benefits can be received during a massage if you concentrate on relaxing. Some of the stretches and movements used have better outcomes if they are passive (without your assistance). You set the level of conversation during the massage. You needn't feel obligated to make conversation, but you can if you want. If your therapist is talking too much, feel free to request silence.
